This Privacy Policy describes how Teleprompter ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information.

1. Information We Access

To provide the teleprompter service, we use Google OAuth to request your permission to access your Google Slides presentations. We only request read-only access to your presentations. This permission is required solely to retrieve the slide thumbnails and speaker notes from the Google Slides presentation you select to display within the Lens.

2. Data Security and Protection Mechanisms

Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. We employ the following mechanisms to protect the Google user data we access:

Encryption in Transit: All data containing your Google Slides content (thumbnails and speaker notes) is streamed securely and protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL) encryption. This industry-standard mechanism ensures that the data is protected from interception as it is transmitted from Google to your Lens.
Minimal and Ephemeral Access: We only request read-only access, and the content is strictly session-only data. The information is streamed directly to the Lens for display during your active session and is automatically and immediately discarded when you close the Lens or end your session.
No Data Storage: We do not save, retain, copy, or share your Google Slides presentations or any content within them.

Secure Environment: The Teleprompter Lens executes in an isolated process environment within SnapOS, preventing other processes from accessing data or functions within the Lens’ scope.

3. Third-Party Services (Google)

Authentication is handled securely through Google OAuth. Your use of Google's services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review the Google Privacy Policy.
