Exporting photos and videos
When a moment looks ready to share, you can send it to your friends on Snapchat — or export it to share it on another platform. You can export circular, square, vertical, and widescreen videos — you can even export them to view in VR! Keep in mind that you can only rotate circular photos and videos on Snapchat, at the moment.
To learn how to export photos and videos, watch the video below:

Export formats
You can export Snaps captured with Spectacles in any of the following formats:
- White Border (Circular)
- Black Border (Circular)
- 16:9 (Widescreen)
- 4:3 (Horizontal)
- 9:16 (Vertical)
- 1:1 (Square)
- YouTube VR180*
If a Story only includes Snaps you captured with Spectacles, you can save it to your Camera Roll as one continuous video, or choose to save each Snap individually. 3D photo Snaps will always export as 3-second videos.
If a Story includes both Snaps captured with Spectacles and Snaps taken with Snapchat, there won’t be an option to select an export format — these Snaps will just save to your Camera Roll as individual photos and videos. 3D photo Snaps will always save as 3-second videos.
If you choose to export to another platform, including YouTube, any content you share will be subject to that platform’s terms and conditions and policies. Make sure your content’s in line with those before sharing.
Keep in mind that edited Snaps and 3D Snaps may take a little longer to export.
At the moment, you can only export Stories that have 20 Snaps or less.
*Only available for 3D photos and videos captured with Spectacles 3. You’ll need to sign in to your YouTube account on the YouTube app for iOS or Android before being able to export in YouTube VR180. Learn more here.
