Updating

Spectacles

The Spectacles  App is used to update the built-in software to the latest version. You’ll see a notification in the Spectacles App when a new update is available.

Before you update

1. Make sure your Spectacles are charged over 40%.
2. Make sure your Spectacles are turned on and charging
3. Connect your phone to Wi-Fi. Updates can occur through your phone’s cellular data plan, but the update file size may vary so we’d recommend Wi-Fi.

Software updates can take several minutes to complete. Be sure to update only whenever you have enough time. 

Updating Spectacles Software To update, just follow these steps:

1. Open the Spectacles  App
2. Select the Spectacles icon in the top left corner 
3. Scroll down and select Software Update
4. Download and install the latest version

Then you’re good to go on the latest software! 

Your Spectacles will hard reboot as part of the update, don’t worry, this won’t delete any of your data.

From time to time the Spectacles App will need to be updated, when a new update is available you’ll have a notification in the app and will need to go to the App Store or Play Store to download the latest version. 

After updating you’ll need to repair your Spectacles before using them again.
