Next Generation Spectacles Settings

From Settings select ‘Spectacles’  and then click on the name of your next generation Spectacles. You’ll find yourself on the System Information page where you can see the battery level and adjust your screen brightness and the audio volume. 

From here, select the ellipsis in the top right corner to reach your next generation Spectacles settings. 

 

Device Settings

Device Name - here you can change the name of your next generation device, it’s this name that appears on your bluetooth menus and when repairing your device.

Wi-fi connection - allows you to check your current wi-fi connection and change to a new one if you’ve moved to a new wi-fi area.

Enable Location - allows you to toggle your location settings on or off. You can find more information about your location settings and data here. 

Software update available - when new software is available for your next generation Spectacles you’ll see a notification here.

Display and audio settings - toggle auto-brightness on or off for your next generation Spectacles display. If you'd rather set the brightness yourself, you can do that on your System Information page. 

 

Actions

Clear Spectacles Storage - clearing your next generation Spectacles storage will remove all user data from your Spectacles including any Snaps you have taken or lenses that have been added.

Clear Spectacles Cache - clearing the cache will remove any lenses or lens data you have on your next generation Spectacles.

Restart Spectacles - restarting you next generation Spectacles will initiate a power cycle. This won't delete any Snaps stored on your Spectacles, but it will unpair them from your phone. 

Forget Spectacles - forgetting your Spectacles will cancel the pairing and remove of them from your device, to access your Spectacles again you will need to repair. 

Turn off Spectacles - this will turn off your next generation Spectacles. not just the display.

Factory Reset - a factory reset will wipe any data on your next generation Spectacles and unpair you from your phone.
